German Speaking Operations Manager

Halo Personnel are recruiting on behalf of an owner-operated, successful forwarding company who is looking to further expand their UK base. They are in search of an experienced Operations Manager whom speaks German and ideally French, for national and international lorry charter services (sea and air freight). This is a challenging role for a determined and accomplished Operations Manager.  

Your Responsibilities:  

•    Planning all tours direct- or partial deliveries

•    Checking and accounting for transportability, profitability and delivery restrictions

•    Ensuring shipping processes 

•    Organising all operative and administrative assignments

•    Processing client requests

Candidate Profile:

•    Trained in shipping

•    Sound knowledge in the field of national and international lorry charter shipping

•    2-3 years of professional experience as Operations Manager, national or international in a lorry shipping company

•    Experience in handling commercial and industrial personnel

•    Good interpersonal and implementation skills

•    Key-data oriented working method

•    Good knowledge of IT and MS Office

•    Languages: German (mandatory), French (preferable)
